Tap Scan Mail on the home screen. Point your camera at the suspicious mail and tap capture, or upload a photo from your library. The AI analyzes the text and returns a risk verdict in 3-5 seconds.

Tap Check a Text Message or Check an Email. Paste the suspicious content directly, or tap the camera icon to upload a screenshot. Tap Analyze and the AI returns a risk verdict with flagged phone numbers and URLs highlighted.

Enter the phone number and describe what the caller said. The AI checks it against known scam patterns and community reports. If it is a known government agency or business, the real callback number is shown so you can verify independently.

Safe (green) means the communication appears legitimate — proceed normally. Suspicious (orange) means there are concerning signals — verify independently before taking action. High Risk (red) means strong fraud indicators were detected — do not engage, do not pay, do not click any links.

On iPhone, go to Settings, then Phone, then Call Blocking and Identification, and enable MailShield Guardian. Known scam numbers will then be labeled on your caller ID before you answer.

Auto-Protect runs in the background without requiring you to open the app. On iPhone it filters texts from unknown senders and labels scam numbers on caller ID. On Android it screens incoming calls and scans texts automatically. Gmail and Outlook scanning can also be enabled to catch phishing emails before you open them. Auto-Protect is a Pro feature.

Open the Auto Protect screen and tap Email Monitoring. For Gmail, tap Connect and sign in with your Google account. For Outlook or Microsoft 365, tap Outlook and sign in with your Microsoft account. Both connections are read-only — MailShield can never send, delete, or modify your emails.
