FairScan builds an anonymous price dataset from users' scans.
Every analyzed bill contributes anonymous price figures (a category-level total and, for medical bills, per-procedure-code amounts) to a nationwide, category-level dataset, stored without your user ID. Where we have data for a category, those aggregate figures are given to the AI as one input to the verdict for the next person who scans a similar item.

FairScan doesn't ask who you are.
Anonymous sign-in on first launch. No email, no password, no Google or Apple login. The text read from your bill is not saved to our database; the analysis (verdict, line items and summary) is saved to your scan history. A copy of the scanned photo is kept in your private scan history until you delete the scan. The price figures fed back into the community benchmark carry no user ID.
