New Caledra — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you use New Caledra on iOS or Android. Publisher: Glippin Toys, LLC.

Summary

• We do not ask for your name, email, or password.
• We sign you in anonymously with a random ID so your save can sync across devices.
• We collect only what we need to run the game (gameplay state, Family membership, purchase status).
• We do not sell your data.
• We do not show third-party advertising.

Information we collect

Anonymous account ID. When you launch the App, we create an anonymous Firebase Authentication user. A random string with no link to your real identity.

Gameplay state. Character name, level, cash, properties, crew, achievements, Family membership, and similar in-game data. Stored in Firestore so you can resume on another device.

Family chat messages. If you join a Family, the messages you send are stored so other members can see them.

Purchase status. If you buy a subscription (Don Status), RevenueCat records the purchase and reports your status back to us. We do not receive your payment card or bank information.

AI-written flavor. Several optional touches in the game are written on demand by Claude (Anthropic). Three features send data to Anthropic:

• Story narration. When you finish a job or a fight, the game can have Claude write a short noir narration of it. To do that we send that action's details: whether it was a job or a fight and how it turned out, and — when they apply — your character name and level, the job name, district, and cash earned, or your opponent, weapon, and vehicle. This is available to every player and is daily-capped: free accounts get up to 10 AI narrations a day, Don Status up to 100. When you reach the cap, or the game can't reach the service, it shows short pre-written text instead.
• AI character profile. When you ask for an AI-written character bio, we send your in-game stats — character name, title, level, cash, number of properties owned, crew size, whether you belong to a Family, and your attack and defense — to Anthropic. This shares the same daily cap as narration.
• Daily city-rumor bulletin. Once a day our server summarizes the last 24 hours of Family raid activity across the city — the attacking and defending Family names, the territory names, and whether each raid succeeded — and sends that summary to Anthropic to write a short "Word on the Street" bulletin. This runs on a schedule and is not tied to any individual player.

We do not send your Family chat messages to Anthropic, and Anthropic never receives your email or payment information. Anthropic does not use this data to train its models.

Product analytics. We use PostHog to record pseudonymous gameplay events (for example: app opened, job completed, purchase made) keyed to your anonymous account ID. No name, email, precise location, or advertising identifier is collected, and analytics are never used for cross-app tracking or sold.

Diagnostic data. Crash reports (device model, OS version, stack trace) reach us three ways: aggregate reports from Apple and Google, Firebase Crashlytics, and Sentry. Crash data is keyed to your anonymous account ID so we can fix what you hit. No personal content.

Children

New Caledra contains mature themes (organized crime, violence) and is not designed for children under 13. The App Store and Play Store ratings reflect this.

Material changes update the "Effective date" above and are surfaced in-app.
