Settled — Privacy Policy

What we collect
Settled does not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any other identifying information. When you use the app, the only data you provide is what you type:
- The name of the project (e.g., "Dad's estate")
- Institution names and the kind of institution (bank, pension, etc.)
- Contact log entries (date, method, who you spoke to, what happened)
- The count of certified death certificates you have ordered
Where your data lives
Everything you enter in Settled is stored on your device only, using your phone's local storage. Nothing you type is sent to our servers, to Glippin Toys, to an AI provider, or to any third party.
The only network communication Settled makes is to RevenueCat, a purchase-verification service, when the app starts. RevenueCat is told only that the app is running and receives your device ID. It receives no information about your project, your institutions, your contacts, or anything else you type into the app.
What we do not do
- We do not collect analytics or crash reports from your device
- We do not show advertisements
- We do not track your behavior or location
- We do not share your data with anyone
- We do not use your data to train AI models
- We do not sell or license your data to anyone
Future features and AI
Settled may in the future offer an optional letter-drafting feature powered by AI. If that feature is built:
- It will be opt-in only
- You will choose which fields to include in the letter draft
- The sensitive fields in your project (institution names, account references, correspondence content) will never be sent to the AI service
- Only the fields you specifically choose will be sent, with your explicit consent each time
Your rights
Your data lives on your device, not our servers. You own it completely. You can delete your projects at any time by uninstalling the app — or by using the app's delete function to remove individual projects.
